The Night Project

For starters, I apologise for the poor video quality - we're still trying to figure out the best device we have for video-making!

The video should have everything covered. The only other thing I would add is that students may do as much research at home to generate ideas during the 2 weeks as they like, but they can only work on their project in the class.

We are looking for something unique and creative!

Having said that, we are excited to declare "open" the August Night Project and look forward to seeing our students' creativity in action!

The Pink Panther - Movie Week September 2013

The Pink Panther features for movie week this September at Horne Learning Services.

Steve Martin plays the role of the haphazard police detective, Inspector Jacques Clouseau. He is assigned to solve a murder case in which a diamond (the pink panther) is stolen.

There are many funny twists and turns as Inspector Clouseau unwittingly makes his way through the plot. I'm sure students will find this movie very entertaining while answering 16 questions to test their listening and observation skills.

Here's a little teaser for you to laugh at. English pronunciation humour!

HLS English Classes Kuantan

We were thrilled to meet up with some people from Russia when they came here for a holiday. It was lovely teaching them English every day. Now they are back home in Russia, one of them has become our international student.

We teach one of our friends from Russia via Skype every Saturday. It's been an interesting experience teaching English by a video call. Of course, the method of teaching is different to the usual classroom lessons, but it is also enjoyable.

How do you keep in touch with international friends?
